#SelfCare Sunday

This is my last year of my 20s and even though I don't want to get too hung up on my age it is important to me to take advantage of this last year of 20 and use what I have left to experience in this time to really prepare me for my 30s and beyond. I realize that taking care of myself now has to be at the forefront of that. 2020 was definitely a year of reflection and just missed opportunities and trying to figure out when's the next time you'll be able to or did you miss out on some thing that you may never be able to do and 2021 and moving forward I've just decided that I'm not going to let any opportunities be missed and I'm going to take advantage of all the time that I'm still here and my mind is working and my body is working.

This year I have made a whole hearted commitment to minding my business literally and figuratively. I am working on a lot of different projects plus being a full time mom, social worker and student. In order to succeed at everything I am trying to attain this year and next I really have to stay focused on my own wins and not get distracted. Self care is going to be key in keeping up with my self determination because with all of the different lanes I'm starting in as a novice, I will be facing discouraging news and setbacks for a while before I see any real growth from anything. So its going to be really important for me to find and keep a self care routine helps me progress in all areas.

So here we are self care Sundays; where every Sunday I will explore a self care routine to help rejuvenate and reenergize me for the week to come.

This week my self care ritual is green tea and journaling. I love matcha green tea it's delicious and has so many health benefits from enhancing energy to boosting your metabolism, green tea is good for your skin and bones and helps you focus. So it's perfect to sip on a cool sunny morning on the porch, while journaling.
